For this week’s task Shtinky and I will be taking on the President’s challenge, specfically the Presidential Champion’s Program (http://www.presidentschallenge.org/). Shtinky and I will both sign up online for this challenge, which enables us to log our data (what activities we completed ie. playing soccer, running laps, and how long the activities took to complete) and keep track of how many points we earned. For every activity that we log and keep track of we will be awarded points. The more energy that is burned during an activity, the more points that we are given. With these points comes perks and prizes, such as the Bronze (20,000 points), Silver, and Gold awards that include a shiny medal and a beautiful certificate signed by the President of the United States!
Take Note:
We will be logging an average of an hour a day from Tuesday until Saturday (5 days). Head over to the Volunteer, Race, and Training Info page if you wish to see more detials.
If she can do it……so can we!
*Note: We will most likely be continuing to log in our data after this week is over in order to get the Bronze award and if we are even more ambitious, perhaps the Silver, maybe even one day the Gold.
<-Notice the President’s Challenge t-shirt that you can also get when you participate!
Brenna just shook a tail feather today in our Zumba class. I am sure that will earn her some points towards her medal! I think your next challenge should be to wear 80’s inspired workout gear to the gym for a week and see people’s reactions. It would not only be awesome but would entertain me and others at Washington Sports Club. Just a thought.
hahahhaha Colleen that sounds amazing…I think we might just give it a go…if none of my friends go to the gym with me and it is just me all by myself- 80’s out, that might be even more weird/amazing..and Zumba that sounds great! I have to step it up..I’ve just been going to the gym and walking a lot..you guys have inspired me.
Thanks for Reading!
